Luxury resort chain, Soneva has unveiled the world’s largest one-bedroom and two-bedroom overwater villas in Soneva Fushi, located in Baa Atoll.

The resort within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Maldives, now flaunts one-bedroom overwater villas measuring 6,286 square feet and two-bedroom water villas measuring 9,224 square feet. These water villas are the biggest in the world and Soneva has eight of these suites, called Water Rooms.

The eight large overwater villas have glass floor panels – allowing for a breathtaking view of coral and fish. They also have private outdoor bathtubs, wooden porches with sun loungers, pools, retractable roofs, and waterslides.

One-bedroom overwater villas are available for USD 2,626 per night, while two-bedrooms are available for USD 5,232.

In addition to the world’s largest overwater villas, Soneva Fushi has multiple restaurants, a kids club, tennis courts, an observatory, a dedicated reef for scuba diving, a glass-blowing center, and Cinema Paradiso – the largest outdoor movie screen in the Indian Ocean.
