World Travel Market, one of the world's primest international travel and trade exhibitions, has announced a virtual event in place of this year's London fair.

Every year for the last forty years, travel and tourism representatives all over the world assemble in London for World Travel Market (WTM), building trade connections, networks and promoting tourism destinations.

However this year, amidst the global coronavirus pandemic and many restrictions in air travel, World Travel Market announced a virtual event to help parties to restore and develop business.

"The main aim is to help recover and rebuild and shape the travel industry at a time when it needs it the most. The virtual even will focus on restoring and developing business connections, growing your network, your brand and learning how to make your comeback," says the WTM London website.

Under the theme "Recover. Rebuild. Innovate.", the virtual event will take place from 9-11 November 2020, from 7am to 10pm London time, to allow access from different timezones.

The sessions will include live conferences and forums to discuss issues faced by the industry currently, speed networking sessions, one-to-one meetings and virtual networking opportunities.

"We want to keep the global travel conversation alive and help deliver new connections as well as offering a wide range of online business opportunities," said WTM London.
