The Banyan Tree Group have welcomed a trio of Marcom for three of its properties. The Banyan Tree Group is one of the top independent and multi-branded hospitality firms in the world. Through the creation of successful campaigns, the three will be in charge of advancing the marketing communications objectives at the Maldives properties.

By putting a special emphasis on well-being and purpose-driven stewardship while providing outstanding design-led experiences, the new team will endeavour to ensure greater reach across diverse sources. In the end, this will aid in expanding market penetration and raising overall revenue at all Maldivian properties. As a result, they will work together to improve Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Dhawa Ihuru, and Angsana Velavaru's global physical and online visibility.

Ronalaine Fernandez Sato – MarCom & PR Manager

Having worked in the Philippines and the Maldives for more than 13 years, Ronalaine Fernandez Sato has a wealth of knowledge in the hospitality and travel & tourist sectors. Rona served as the Assistant Manager for PR & Communications at the German-owned Seaside Collection's Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives before to joining the team at Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.

She is known for being highly creative, paying close attention to the smaller things, and having a "can-do" mentality. Her adaptability, flexibility, and capacity for working under pressure are all appreciated qualities for the position. These skills, along with her sense of duty and friendliness, helped her successfully navigate the resort during its extensive renovation and reopening in 2020. Rona has been employed in the Maldives since 2014, making her an authority on both the industry and the location.

She formerly worked as a sales executive at Finolhu in 2019 before being elevated to the positions of sales and marketing executive and assistant manager. Rona has also worked for local tour company Alpha Maldives and Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts in the contracting and sales departments. She worked for two different hotels in Bohol and Mactan, two popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, as the area communications manager during her time there. Rona enjoys learning a new language on her own and playing the ukulele in her spare time.

Riri Anggraheni Eka Rimandasari – Ecommerce Manager

Riri Anggraheni Eka Rimandasari – Ecommerce Manager.

Anggraheni, Riri Eka Rimandasari, who held a number of positions at home before getting a job in the Maldives, has nine years of expertise in marketing on the other side of the world. She has spent the last three years working for Cornerstone Retail Management, a subsidiary of Sheraton Hotel Group Indonesia, as a customer relationship management, e-commerce, and digital marketing manager.

In her own land, Riri has taken on jobs as a journalist for national TV (tvOne and Trans TV) and presented internet shows. She was appointed as the official representative of Indonesia at the 2019 World Journalism Conference, which was hosted at Thomson Reuters in London. The following year, in line with her convictions that having good mental health at work boosts productivity, she collaborated with the private and corporate sectors to create Peduli ODGJ Indonesia, a community that works to educate people about and provide care for those who are suffering from mental illness.

Riri, who is visiting the Maldives for the first time, is eager to see all that the country has to offer, including its famed seascapes. She also has a PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Khaled Jarrah – Assistant Digital Marketing Manager

Given that he has worked as the Banyan Tree Doha's marketing executive for almost two years, Khaled Jarrah is a well-known figure within the Banyan Tree Group. In Doha, he successfully oversaw the hotel's digital marketing, ran its website, and optimized content across all social media channels, resulting in a year-over-year gain in reach of 267.7% on Facebook and 339.7% on Instagram.

Khaled, a native of Jordan, began his career in the hospitality industry as a chef, working in famous Qatar-based establishments like Crown Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn - The Business Park, and IHG Hotels and Resorts. As soon as he was promoted to sous chef, he was chosen to join the IHG future leader program, where he developed a passion for sales and marketing. He was able to express his creativity as a result and eventually changed to a position in digital marketing.

The saying "love what you do and do what you love" is one that Khaled strongly subscribes to. According to his beliefs, he consistently works to improve his knowledge in digital marketing by making the time to finish online training and courses. As a culinary enthusiast in his spare time, Khaled enjoys trying out delicious new dishes or preparing meals for his loved ones.
