The five-star resort is renowned for its distinctive geographic shape, which when seen from above, resembles a butterfly.

Joy Island will also offer visitors the finest natural features, including its stunning coral gardens, blue lagoons, and white, powdery beaches. The moniker "Joy Island," which has been dubbed the island of happiness, encompasses all the delights that may be had there, regardless of the kind of holiday visitors take. The resort is prepared to elevate stays with its options, whether for a private romance break, a family vacation, or a group diving experience.

The upcoming resort will be the third in the Maldives and the sixth in The Cocoon Collection's portfolio. Joy Island was created to harmonise with genuine Maldivian influences, echoing the colours of nature. All 151 of the villas, which are scattered around the beach and lagoon and have contemporary designs, provide visitors the option of seeing the dawn or sunset. The typical Maldivian-designed open-air baths will also enhance guests' stays.

Four eating establishments, each with its own unique menu and ambience, will make up the much-anticipated island cuisine. The Market, the main restaurant on the property, will provide internationally famous flavours in daily-changing street food-themed settings. Italian cuisine will be the focus of Il Basilico, while the Chiringuito near the island's tip will seduce visitors with delectable tapas and paella. Visitors can indulge themselves in cool beverages in a lively setting at Rainbow.
