W Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa recently launched initiatives and activations to promote awareness about the significance of environmental sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint on March 25th.

Marriott Bonvoy's Maldives resort portfolio is dedicated to reducing environmental effects and encouraging sustainable tourism practices. These initiatives are part of a larger effort to encourage responsible tourism practices and environmental stewardship. The resorts urge guests to be conscious of their environmental impact and to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable future.

The W Maldives provided guests an unforgettable experience by hosting an oceanfront fire grill dinner complete with unplugged music, premium cuts, Maldivian lobster, and seafood direct from the charcoal grill. The guests experienced a bonfire-toasted dessert under the sky, making it a one-of-a-kind and memorable event.

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa went above and beyond the hour, turning off the eatery lights for 90 minutes and erecting a 60+ candle signage at Anchorage. In addition, the resort's restaurants served a special cocktail dubbed "The Black Out." The Earth Hour program inspired this cocktail, and its use of locally sourced ingredients represents the resort's commitment to sustainability.
