Sun Siyam Iru Fushi welcomes Florante Abuton Jr. to the team as Assistant PR & Communications Manager.
Florante is from the Philippines and joined the Resort earlier in 2023. He will assist the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi sales and marketing team with all PR, communications, press, media, and marcomms-related matters.
Florante will assist the Director of PR & Communications at Sun Siyam Resorts in implementing the public relations, communications, and marcomms strategies, initiatives, and projects for Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, as well as overseeing all press and media trips on the island.
Florante has over 11 years of international hospitality experience and worked for some of the biggest names in the hospitality and automotive industries before moving to the Maldives, including Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts, Nissan Middle East, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels, Emaar Hospitality, and, most recently, Lapita Dubai Parks and Resorts.
His hospitality background and professional skill set in public relations, together with his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, make him the ideal candidate for this position.
