Together with Kind Traveler, Coco Palm Dhuni Kollhu of the Coco Collection is paving the way for meaningful vacations in the Maldives. The first Give + Get hotel booking platform with social responsibility, Kind Traveler encourages visitors to be more responsible when traveling and make a positive impact on the places they visit.

As part of this partnership, visitors staying at Dhuni Kolhu will be eligible to get exclusive prices and benefits from hand-selected Kind Hotels in exchange for making a donation of 10 dollars or more to a local organization that positively impacts the neighborhood or place they visited. Instead of giving locally, visitors can use the Kind Traveler platform to donate to a charity of their choice, with 100 percent of the proceeds going straight to charity. This marks a situation where everyone benefits—including the traveler, hotel, and charity.

Visitors at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu have the opportunity to contribute to the Olive Ridley Project, a marine conservation initiative that seeks to safeguard sea turtles and their habitats via rescue and rehabilitation, scientific study, and public outreach and education. Life-threatening injuries to sea turtles have been caused by anthropogenic causes such as becoming entangled in marine debris, ingesting fishhooks, being hit by boats, and being improperly maintained as pets for a long time.

To protect the future survival of injured sea turtles, it is essential that they are carefully cared for back to health by qualified veterinarians. Thus, Coco Pam Dhuni Kolhu is home to the Maldives' first turtle rescue facility run by a veterinarian, which opened its doors in 2017. Since launching, the Olive Ridley Project Marine Turtle Rescue Centre on-site has successfully released 107 turtles back into the wild after proper rehabilitation. It is equipped with a laboratory, x-ray and ultrasound machines, an endoscope, and surgical facilities.

The Olive Ridley Project's basic values, such as growing the breadth of its rescue and rehabilitation operations and increasing knowledge about sea turtles in veterinarian care, will be fueled by a donation of 10 Dollars. Additionally, by receiving special rates as a thank-you for their contribution, guests will profit from the gift themselves. This will give them the satisfaction of supporting sustainable travel practices.

Along with providing a plethora of benefits, Kind Traveler also highlights each property in a positive light by connecting visitors with the chance to have an impact on the neighbourhood and its "Kind Factors". The steps the hotel takes to promote community impact, sustainability, and individual wellness are referred to as "kind factors" on the resort. In this way, the hotel's profile is shown, reinforcing its dedication to social responsibility at a time when consumers and visitors appreciate transparency highly.

Many notable Kind Factors, from environmental initiatives to local empowerment, may be witnessed on the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu property. As part of its environmental initiatives, the resort has a glass bottling plant, an in-house water purification system, and an organic Chef's Garden where fresh produce is grown and harvested. Additionally, house reef coral gardening projects are actively taking place to revive and reproduce damaged corals. The Olive Ridley Project and a resident marine biologist guard nests until the arrival of hatchlings because the resort is well renowned for being a green sea turtle nesting place. In order to promote local communities and the rich culture of the Maldives, the resort uses local resources and displays Maldivian handicrafts, such as traditional lacquer work, on-site.
