The Coco Collection's five-star resort, Coco Bodu Hithi, is all set to receive Dr Audrey Tang as the first Relaxation Officer to ever work there. Dr Tang is an award-winning business author and licensed psychologist with the British Psychological Society who places a strong emphasis on using useful tools for well-being. She will be staying at the resort from February 11 until February 15, 2023.
The tranquil natural surroundings and custom amenities on Coco Bodu Hithi island provide everything needed for a stress-free vacation. The luxurious spa offers yoga classes, and the resort offers a wide range of facilities and services to encourage the highest level of zen. As a result, the Maldives becomes the best destination for wellness seekers to relax and unplug.
“Everyone deserves the opportunity to truly unwind which is why we are glad to introduce Dr Audrey Tang as the resort’s first Relaxation Officer at our resort. Her sole responsibility at Coco Bodu Hithi is to assist visitors to have the utmost relaxing experience, leaving the island free of tension and renewed with a fresh mindset to tackle the rest of the year,” Shafa Shabeer, Coco Collection's director of marketing, said.
A worrying 73% of participants in a study performed in Britain felt they had too much on their plates, and the results showed that the typical person experiences stress three times every day. The study also discovered that, on average, more than 50% of those surveyed agreed that January is the most stressful month of the year. 39% of participants chose to go for a walk as their stress-reduction method, while 29% chose to enjoy the sunshine. 16% of respondents agreed that listening to the sound of waves breaking on a beach soothes them, while 9% thought going for a swim was the best course of action.
In relation to unwinding, Dr Tang says “People have been under an increasing amount of stress over the years, from navigating through a pandemic to managing the current economic state. Relaxing is extremely important, and we often underestimate how vital it is to ensure we lead healthy and fulfilled lives, which is why working on such a picturesque island like Coco Bodu Hithi is such a dream job for me.”
She explains further by saying “There is an array of health benefits to relaxation such as lowered blood pressure, improved digestion, reduced muscle tension, and many more. With the huge variation in fresh produce coupled with the idyllic island, Coco Bodu Hithi offers guests the perfect combination of sun, sea, and sand to help guests unwind.” Through mindful exercises that can be done on the island, Dr Tang will help guests thoroughly decompress and destress at the resort. This entails participating in positive psychology classes with visitors and associates, affirmations and aim setting, guided barefoot walks, and more.
