The In-Villa Gallery contributed by Maldivian artists is just one of the innovative ideas that Oaga Art Resort has brought to the Maldivian tourism sector when it first opened its doors to the world.
The resort's Veyoge Gallery Pool Villas have an art gallery for the first time in the Maldives. The excellent collection is carefully presented on the walls of these homes, starting with 161 pieces from nearly 40 local artists.
The Suvāsthi retail gallery of Oaga Art Resort is in charge of handling the work's curation. Nadee, their in-house resident curator, claims that when assembling the exhibit they made no distinctions between any artists, styles, or media. As a result, the participating artists range from well-established ones with a history of shows to developing young artists who are participating in their first exhibition. The materials employed also include a wide variety, including mixed media, collage, resin, watercolor, and many more all coming together in a stunning collection that is open for viewing by any visitors to the resort.
This innovative idea gives people everywhere the possibility to engage with and even acquire original works of art. Additionally, it creates a new platform for regional musicians to capitalize on the country's largest industry: tourism.
Beginning on December 26, 2022, the Veyoge Gallery will be available for public viewing by locals as well. To make a reservation, send an email to [email protected]. This public chance is open until January 31, 2023.
Oaga Art Resort's Greatest All-Inclusive package redefines what an all-inclusive vacation in the Maldives entails, offering amenities like Creative Expression (art) classes, Take Notes (music) experiences, in-villa dining to floating meals, a variety of excursions, motorized watersports, and many more. Up to January 31, 2023, the resort's opening offer will give prospective guests a discount of up to 30%.
