Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), along with 14 industry partners, are connecting with top travel trade buyers to showcase the Maldives and its unique experiences at ILTM Cannes 2022 – the world’s biggest luxury travel trade fair.

 The fair is held at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Cannes, France, from December 5-8.

ILTM Cannes provides a platform for travel trade partners from France and other markets, to hold meetings with the most exclusive and sought-after travel designers and the world’s finest hospitality brands and destinations.

The four-day fair includes educational sessions, networking, entertainment, and invaluable exposure.

The 14 industry partners joining MMPRC at the ILTM Cannes 2022 are; Intour Maldives, Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives, Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives, Hummingbird Travel, Milaidhoo Maldives, Bliss Maldives, Heritance Aarah, Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa, Cora Cora Maldives, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Koveli Travel, Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.

Maldives is renowned for being an ultra-luxurious destination offering deluxe products, services and experiences.

According to MMPRC, the Maldives’ stand at ILTM Cannes reflects the aspects of high-end tourism Maldives is so well-known for.

MMPRC is conducting pre-scheduled B2B meetings with travel trade partners, providing destination information and promotional materials to visitors, and conducting trade surveys to get more information about the market.

According to MMPRC, their focus is on; connecting and networking with trade buyers from France; strengthening existing relations; providing them with latest updates of the destination and its unique geographical aspects; and experiences offered to tourists seeking luxurious vacations.

MMPRC said the fair provides the opportunity to strengthen Maldives' brand to sustain its top-of-the-mind position in the French market and increase arrivals from the segment.

ILTM is also a great platform for industry partners to attain partnerships, discuss business deals, and market their individual properties and experiences, said the corporation.

France is ranked the seventh top source market for tourist arrivals to Maldives, with over 40,000 visitors from January to November.
