GoAir is braced to begin direct flights between Male’ City, Maldives, and Hyderabad, India this week.

The Indian budget airline will be operating between the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana and Maldives starting from February 11. A total of four weekly flights will be operated by the airline between the destinations. 

The flights will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

An Airbus A320neo will be utilized by the airline for the flights.

GoAir currently operates flights between Male’ and three Indian cities; Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.

India has been a key source market for tourist arrivals to Maldives and has seen exponential growth since the Maldives reopened its borders in 2020. It is the second top source market for tourist arrivals this year.

62,960 Indian tourists visited Maldives last year, and over 23,000 have visited Maldives so far this year.

Four Indian airlines operate direct flights between Maldives and Indian cities; GoAir, SpiceJet, IndiGo, and Air India.
