Soneva Jani, high-end luxury property in Noonu Atoll, has added some exciting new elements to the resort.

The luxury retreat up north in the Maldives calls this the Soneva Jani Chapter Two; 29 new villas, two island reserves on the beach, and a string of 27 water reserves on the south-west side of Medhufaru island, accessible via a winding jetty. Soneva says the Chapter Two villas are positioned to maximise privacy and create a true sense of seclusion.

According to the luxury resort operator, the Chapter Two reserves are among the largesrt and most luxurious overwater villas of their kind in the world. Each reserve features vast indoor and outdoor living spaces, terraces, private pools, outdoor bathrooms and some even have slides.

Just like Soneva's other villas, the new water reserves are crafted to the highest environmental standards using sustainable materials, and used state-of-the-art technology in the process.

According to Soneva, all guests staying at the Soneva Jani Chapter Two villas are entitled to "Soneva Unlimited", a program that extends unlimited experiences, dining and in-villa dining, beverages and spa treatments among many others, all included in the price of stay. This is surely a hearty bargain!

Additionally, three new dining destinations are added under Soneva Jani Chapter Two. The first is Overseas by Swedish chef Mathias Dahlgren, with a menu dedicated to pescatarian, vegetarian and plant-based dishes for lunch and dinner. Second is So Wild by raw food chef Diana Von Cranach, an outlet that specialises on health-conscious plant-based raw dishes. The third is So Primitive, an outlet that embraces the traditional aspects, and has a fire pit at the centrepiece where different cooking techniques are honored. Fresh seafood, meat and plant-based dishes are prepared in kettles and clay pots on coal, just like from back in the day.
