Sun Siyam Vilu Reef in the Maldives is celebrated as Indian Ocean's Leading Water Villa Resort in World Travel Awards.
World Travel Awards publicized winners of its Indian Ocean winners this month, and the list revealed that Sun Siyam Vilu Reef in Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives, has defended its title of the region's Leading Water Villa Resort again.
Vilu Reef competed against fellow Maldivian properties Anantara Dhigu, Baros Maldives, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa and Vakkaru Maldives.
Sun Siyam Vilu Reef has been the sole winner of World Travel Awards' Indian Ocean's Leading Water Villa Resort award since this award's inception in 2017.
The property is also running for World's Leading Water Villa Resort 2020. The upcoming Grand Final Gala of World Travel Awards later this month in Moscow, Russia will reveal if Sun Siyam Vilu Reef can defend this accolade too. Vilu Reef was winner of World's Leading Water Villa Resort in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Sun Siyam Vilu Reef is a five-star luxury resort in the Maldives, accessible by a 35-minute seaplane journey from Malé's Velana International Airport. The resort has four beach villa categories and five water villa categories for guests to choose from.
