Kuredu Island Resort and Spa in Lhaviyani Atoll has announced that it will be reopening in November 2020. The island was the location of the first COVID-19 case in the Maldives.

In an Instagram post, the resort stated that it was extremely excited about the reopening.
"As we start getting excited about our reopening next month, more and more of the team at Kuredu are flying back to the island to start making sure everything is perfect for you (guests)" read the post.
Kuredu had also been keeping itself busy during the time Maldives was in lockdown with multiple social media articles and tidbits to keep its fan base engaged and waiting for the day when it reopens.
