Upcoming luxury resort, Cocogiri Island Resort renews opening date and sets target to open on May 1, 2021. Previously, the resort had planned its opening for December 2020.
Cocogiri Island Resort built on the island of Vashugiri in Vaavu Atoll, is a to-be-opened luxury resort featuring 20 water villas and 20 beach villas.

Vashugiri island, located on the inner fringe of the north-western edge of Vaavu Atoll, is just an hour away from Velana International Airport via speedboat or 18 minutes away via seaplane.
According to its website, Cocogiri will feature a spa and wellness center, an array of f&b outlets run by an experienced team of chefs, an on-island Dive School, watersports programs, and daily excursions to nearby local settlements.
