The Fari Islands project, which literally translates as ‘Beautiful Islands’ in Dhivehi, in North Malé Atoll is close to completion.
The prime location in Male’ Atoll due to its close proximity to urban centers and Velana International Airport, will be the site for three renowned hotel brands of the world. They include the Singapore based Capella Hotels Group and its subsidiary Patina Group as well as the Ritz Carlton brand from the USA.
Capella Maldives will be the first time the group steps foot in the Maldivian sandy beaches. Modern facilities will accompany the planned new resort with a total of 57 villas. Room categories include Ocean villas as well as Superior Mansions.
Other facilities in the resort will include salons, fitness centers, and VIP Spa suites. The five-star resort is set for opening in 2021.
Patina Maldives, on the other hand, will bring with it 90 villas in total. The island allocated for Patina Maldives from the Fari Island project also includes the marina village and beach club. The resort could be unveiled at the end of 2021.
Ritz Carlton, a mainstay name in the hospitality industry of the world is finally making a move to the Maldives with the 100-villa resort paired with five F&B outlets. The resort will also come with modern facilities and could open in mid-2021.
Ritz Carlton already operates 108 establishments in 30 countries across the globe.
Fari Island Project is developed on four islands in total. With three of them already booked by big brands, the fourth island will be the home of a hospitality campus where education of tourism and its development will be taught.
The Fari Islands are located just shy of an hour away from Velana International Airport by speedboat. After Crossroads, Fari Islands will be the second integrated tourism project in the Maldives.
