W Maldives collaboration with celebrity chef Priyanka Naik to commemorate this year's 'World vegan Day, marked on November 1, to launch a 'Go W-egan' pop-up cuisine at the resort. A special menu of treats curated by the renowned vegan chef will be exclusively available at the resort till October 2023.

Chef Priyanka visited the nearby island of Thoddoo, an agricultural region with numerous farms, recently while she was at the W Maldives for a special Marriot Bonvoy Moments event. There, she hand-picked sustainably sourced fruits and vegetables to whip up her intended menu. She worked closely with the Maldivian chefs at the W Maldives, particularly Chefs Baka and Rishma, who helped her add regional touches to each of the menu items.

Chef Priyanka even offered a sustainable cooking lesson for visitors throughout the 4-day activity, imparting helpful tips on how to prepare delicious dishes from leftovers. The primary event of her cooperation was the year-long vegan pop-up unveiling, which was marked by a special showcase dinner.

Her menu features a number of mouthwatering dishes, such as Chili Sesame Dressed Charred Sweet Potato with Fresh Coriander & Toasted Almonds, Double Textured Spicy Blistered Eggplant in Peanut Sauce, and Spiced-up Watermelon Mint Salad in Tahini Lemon Crema. The two starters, two main courses, and one dessert added by Chef Priyanka enhance the already extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan cuisines available to visitors at the W Maldives.
