Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (Visit Maldives) launches three major marketing campaigns across different markets around the world.

Visit Maldives commenced a campaign with Expedia Group to promote Maldives as one of the most secluded and serene destinations in the world for tourists. This four-month campaign targets Russia, China, India and Middle East, to assure potential travellers that Maldives remains one of the most accessible destinations during this unprecedented situation.

"The key messaging of this campaign will highlight the unique geographical formation of the island nation, owing to the natural dispersion of the islands - ensuring a worry free holiday for the travelers," said Visit Maldives, in a statement.

Visit Maldives also launched a joint marketing campaign with Thomas Cook India, India's leading integrated travel services company. Thomas Cook India offers a broad spectrum of services that include forex, corporate travel, MICE, leisure travel, value added services, visa and passport services, and e-business.

India is one of the biggest tourism source market for the Maldives, with over 16,000 visitors from India this January alone.

Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation also recently started a collaborative campaign with the world's largest travel platform TripAdvisor, under the concept "Escape to Maldives: Calm Awaits". This campaign will run until September 2021, and tasrgets US, Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

"Amidst the pandemic, the borders of most European countries are currently closed, and the purpose of the campaign will align with keeping European tourists dreaming of Maldives and encouraging them to travel to the destination once restrictions are lifted," said Visit Maldives.
