IndiGo, already one of the biggest in terms of passenger numbers to Maldives, is aiming to ramp up operations to Maldives. 

From February 1, the airline is prepping to start daily non-stop direct flights from Bangalore, India to Male’ City Maldives.

IndiGo currently operates from four major cities in India to Maldives. The cities include the capital New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kochi. With the increase in frequency, the airline will be operating flights as follows.

  • Male’ to Mumbai - Daily flights
  • Male’ to Bangalore - Daily flights
  • Male’ to Delhi - 4 times a week
  • Male’ to Kochi - 4 times a week

India was ranked as the number one source market for tourism in Maldives. Right now, India is ranked second. IndiGo is ranked third in terms of passengers numbers to Maldives with around 9,000 plus arrivals recorded.
